Who are we?
C.H.A.L.L.E.N.G.E.S. ® was founded in 1993 by Jim (a Certified Management Consultant) and Ann Marie Kwaiser (RN) in Pittsburgh, PA. Our family business services are now utilized nationally and internationally. Our services include helping families in business in a number of areas including: Communication, Conflict, Success Planning, Strategic Planning, Organizational and Personnel Development.

We are family business teachers, consultants, advisors and trusted friends. We don’t sell insurance, estate plans, accounting services, bank programs, or have any hidden agenda to “lock” you into our “program.” Our services are based on the solid practical advice learned by many years of family business experience and by keeping in touch with the new options and directions as they become known.
We are unique from other so-called "Family Business Consulting Firms." Our difference not only includes what has been mentioned but also with the fact that we have worked successfully in, with and for many hundreds of families in business for over three decades. We are one of a select few consultants who work exclusively with families in business. We offer personalized service producing results within hours not months. Another difference is at C.H.A.L.L.E.N.G.E.S. ®, we use a flat fee system to insure our clients will not be surprised with unbudgeted fees. Fees that include many hidden charges such as; stamps, materials, lunches and a variety of “add-ons” that always surprise the client when it is time to pay the invoice. We don’t sign contracts as we never want our clients to feel that they are “stuck” with us especially if they discover that the timing for our process should be delayed. By not signing contracts we also have the flexibility to remove ourselves from a situation when the family may not be ready or committed to move forward with the process.
Because of our practical and personal experiences, we understand that every family is unique because of their emotional interaction as well as their business direction. Our proven processes help each family identify their specific challenges, prioritize them in a manageable way and implement solutions that will be in the best interest of the family and the business. Our focus is to suggest, guide and help the family discover what is in the best interest of the family and business with “family first” always being at the center of all we do. This is a charge that we take very seriously.
As a family business, and with the knowledge of hundreds of client families, we have a unique ability to be able to “sit next to” our families in business instead of across from them. We can easily relate to them because we have faced and experienced many of the same issues they struggle with each and every day.
